THE next meeting of the Ellesmere Port Local and Family History Society will be on Tuesday, April 17, at the National Waterways Museum at 7.30pm.
Linda Clarke, local studies adviser from Cheshire Archives and Local Studies, will demonstrate the ‘Find My Past’ section of the Cheshire Collection and do some live searching.
The Cheshire Collection contains Bishop’s Transcripts, 1576-1905; Church of England parish registers, 1538-1910; electoral registers, 1842-1900; marriage licence bonds & allegations, 1663-1905; Non-Conformist & Roman Catholic records, 1671-1910; Chester wills and probate records.
No pre-booking is required and entry is £3 for visitors/£10 per year for members.
