A WOMEN’S group in Ellesmere Port has shown its support for a Pakistani girl shot for wanting an education.
Soroptimist International of Ellesmere Port and District welcomed Ellesmere Port mayoress Lynn Clare MBE to its meeting as guest speaker at the Woodhey House Hotel, Little Sutton.
The mayoress spoke about ‘Women into public life’ and, after hearing an informative and light-hearted speech of her journey into public life, members invited the mayoress to join them in their support for Malala, the young girl from Pakistan shot for wanting an education.
