LIGHTS were lit and memory stars placed on Christmas trees at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Among the hundreds of people who attended the Light up a Life service at the hospice was Sue Reid, from Ellesmere Port, who said: “I always support Light up a Life as it helps me and my family to remember our sister, Margaret, and Dad, Tony, in a positive way. We hang a star on the tree for each of them.
“We will always be grateful to the hospice for their care and support and this is the least we can do to repay such a wonderful place.”
This year’s Light up a Life campaign raised a record £80,000 toward specialised care for patients with an incurable illness from Ellesmere Port, Chester, Deeside and rural Cheshire.
