An Ellesmere Port shop selling baby clothes for Travellers was involved in a national television programme.

The producers behind hit TV show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding , which regularly attracts nine million viewers, turned their attention to Veronica Browse’s OMG shop on Whitby Road.

Veronica’s main clients are Traveller families and she stocks a wide range of what she describes as ‘outrageous’ baby clothes, as well as jewellery, tiaras and hair extensions.

“Everything we do is over the top,” she said.

Film crews visited earlier this year for a recently broadcast ‘ My Big Fat Gypsy Christening ’ one off.

Thelma Madine, wedding dress maker in ‘My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding’, reportedly experienced a 400% increase in sales after featuring on the show and Veronica says she is ‘not ungrateful for the publicity’.

When the filming was taking place she said ‘everyone in the street is excited about it’.

Veronica explains the shop got its name from the reaction of customers walking past. “That’s all you hear all day long outside the window, ‘oh my God’,” she said.

Veronica is a keen supporter of the neonatal baby unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
