WREXHAM voters are being urged to make their voices heard in next Thursday’s election as people across Wales get to choose their four representatives in the European Parliament.
The Electoral Commission wants to make sure voters know how to mark their ballot paper and ensure every vote counts.
Kay Jenkins, head of the Electoral Commission’s Wales office, said: “For European parliamentary elections you need to mark one ‘X’ on your ballot paper. The difference for these elections is that you vote for a party not a candidate.
“The political parties in Wales have selected a list of up to four candidates and the ballot paper will include this information so you can see who they are.
“To vote, you just need to place an ‘X’ next to one party on the ballot paper.”
Polling stations will be open from 7am-10pm.
There’s a public helpline available until the election on 0800 3 280 280 and further information, including a virtual polling station tour, can be found at www. aboutmyvote.co.uk .
