AN ELDERLY man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Bwlchgwyn, Wrexham.
Police received a report of the collision, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and a Ford Focus on Maes Maelor at 8.32pm on Monday (April 27).
The Ambulance and Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene.
The elderly driver of the Ford Focus, whose name has not been released, was reported to be trapped.
He was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
It is not believed anyone travelling in the Corsa was injured.
North Wales Police said that recovery for the vehicles was requested, but the road did not need to be closed off while the collision was dealt with.
A spokesman for the Ambulance service said: “We were called to the scene at 8.34pm and one ambulance attended. One male was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact the Eastern Roads Policing Unit on 0845 607 1001 (Welsh) or 0845 607 1002 (English).
