A NURSE at Nightingale House has designs on raising a bumper sum of cash for the hospice.
Eilish Lund, a lymphoedema specialist nurse at Nightingale House, is a member of Gresford Craft Group and she will be raffling two quilts at Quiltfest 2005, being held at the Llangollen Royal International Pavilion throughout February. The proceeds from the raffle will go towards hospice funds.
Quiltfest, sponsored by the Gresford group, returns to the Pavilion for the fourth year with another powerful exhibition of textile art.
Previous Quiltfest exhibitions have drawn thousands of visitors and this year this popular exhibition will be showing all-new exhibits from around the world,
Well-known textile artists from around the world are invited to exhibit one of their recent creations.
The gallery provides wonderful space and lighting to show these works off at their best, hanging on the walls.
The first Quiltfest in 2002 attracted 2,000 visitors.
