THERE was fun, face painting, Easter eggs and prizes galore at the Port Arcades Shopping Centre during the Easter weekend.

The entertainment kicked off on Good Friday with an Easter crafts workshop where children got creative making a delightful array of Easter baskets, cards and masks.

A performance by the Churches Together Choir started off Saturday’s events, which included a visit from Bertie the Bunny, who helped with the centre’s annual egg hunt in which all entrants received a free Cadbury’s Creme Egg and entry into a prize draw to win a £75 Birds of Prey experience voucher.

Cheshire Falconry showcased a range of owls in the centre, including eagle, barn and tawny owls and shoppers enjoyed meeting the birds, posing for photos and putting their questions and answers to professional falconers.

Event organiser Michelle Pickstock said: “The mixture of events and activities has been so well received.

“It has been a pleasure to watch how excited our customers were with the activities on both Friday and Saturday.”
