THE Port Arcades Shopping Centre in Ellesmere Port is shaping up for an action-packed Easter.

There will be lots of free events for all the family to enjoy, starting on Good Friday with an Easter craft workshop.

Children under 12 are invited to go along and take part and get the chance to make colourful Easter baskets, cards and masks.

From 10am on Saturday Cheshire Falconry will be at the centre showcasing a range of birds of prey.

There will be opportunities to have photos taken with the birds and chat to the professional falconers.

Also on Saturday, the Churches Together choir will be providing the music from 10am.

Not to break with tradition, youngsters will also be able to enjoy the free Easter egg hunt.

Every child under 12 who successfully identifies where all of the eggs are hidden will receive a free Cadbury’s Creme Egg from Bertie Bunny and will be entered into a prize draw to win a Birds of Prey Experience voucher worth £75.

Free face-painting and glitter tattoos will also be available on both days between 10am and 3pm.

Les Lyon, centre manager of the Port Arcades, said: “We are delighted to once again be able to offer our customers such a varied programme of free events over Easter.

“The Port Arcades Shopping Centre is well known for providing a wide range of fantastic entertainment and fun activities throughout the year, and we are now looking forward to celebrating Easter.”
