CHEF Dudley Newbery, whose TV series Dudley celebrates its 10th birthday this year, is visiting the Stiwt, Rhosllannerchrugog to hold a special evening in aid of S4C's Asia/Africa Appeal.

In addition to preparing a three-course meal using Welsh produce, Dudley will be joined at the June 14 event by a number of special guests, including comedian Dilwyn Pierce and the Ysgol Morgan Llwyd choir.

'It's going to be a night to remember,' says S4C's spokeswoman Eleri Twynog, who is responsible for co-ordinating the fundraising activities for the appeal. 'Dudley's warm personality, combined with his special cooking talents, makes him a popular S4C celebrity and I'm sure people will enjoy the evening, while supporting a good cause at the same time.'

Tsunami Relief Cymru and Oxfam Cymru's work in Tanzaniawill benefit from S4C's appeal in 2005.

Tickets for the evening, priced £5 for adults and £4 for children, are on sale from the Stiwt's ticket office on 01978 841300. All profits will go towards the appeal.
