A DRIVER was taken to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a tree near to the Wrexham Industrial Estate.
Police received a report of a one-vehicle collision shortly after 5.30am on Friday, August 1, on Cefn Road.
The report stated the driver, a 30-year-old man, was trapped.
The Ambulance and Fire Service attended and he was taken to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital with a serious head injury and a fractured hip.
Firefighters used specialist hydraulic cutting gear to free him.
The main road into the industrial estate was closed for more than three hours while the car was removed, but reopened at 8.50am.
