A DRIVER had to be cut from her vehicle after a collision in Ellesmere Port.

Two fire engines, one from Ellesmere Port Fire Station and one from Chester, attended the scene on Hope Farm Road, Great Sutton, after receiving a call at 1.19pm yesterday.

Firefighters found a saloon car on its side and a woman in her 50s trapped inside.

Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to take off the roof and removed the windscreen. She was removed from the car on a stretcher and handed to the care of the ambulance service.
