WALES international goalkeeper Danny Coyne watched from the bench last night as Wrexham's second string suffered a heavy Pontin's League defeat at Plaskynaston Lane.

Coyne travelled with his team-mates from Turf Moor but was not selected to play for the Clarets, who were far too strong for a youthful Dragons XI.

The visitors found themselves 3-0 ahead at the break and they netted a fourth early in the second half.

To their credit, Wrexham were much improved after the break and pulled a goal back through Matty Done.

Good play down the right from Jamie Reed saw the youngster cross into the area, where the ball eluded Marc Williams at the near post.

However, Done was on hand to tap home a consolation strike at the back post.
