Wrexham 3 Oldham 3

WREXHAM and Oldham shared the spoils in a thrilling Division Two curtain-raiser which ended in a 3-3 draw.

The Red Dragons established a two-goal lead and looked to be on their way to victory but two Oldham substitutes earned a point for the visitors.

Mark Allott had given Oldham a half-time lead with a goal in the 37th minute, but a Wrexham goal blitz left the Latics in the blocks early in the second half.

Defender Dennis Lawrence set the ball rolling after 50 minutes, then Carlos Edwards put Wrexham ahead nine minutes later.

When Craig Faulconbridge scored after 62 minutes it looked as if a Wrexham victory was assured.

But David Eyres pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 after 73 minutes and Carlo Corazzin equalised on the stroke of full-time.
