STAND-in goalkeeper Ashley Westwood has demanded a show of pride from Wrexham today.

The Dragons captain donned the gloves for the closing stages of Saturday’s defeat at Oxford United following an injury to Gunnar Nielsen and was beaten by a last-gasp James Constable winner.

Ahead of today’s home clash with Altrincham, he said: “I’ve played in goal in a couple of testimonial games before and if everyone concentrates you really should not be called upon to do anything.

“Our season looks to be heading nowhere.

“It comes down to a matter of personal pride and I don’t like losing any time.”
