GIVING Dean Saunders the job is a great appointment – although Dean is new to management he has bags of coaching experience at the highest level.
He has been in the game a long time and I hope he can revive Wrexham’s fortunes.
I said earlier in the week that I didn’t care who got the job as long as the new man got the club back into the Football League and he could be the person to do that.
I think Geoff Moss has great belief in Dean’s ability and now Dean has to transmit that to the players. If they share his belief, they are more than capable of at least reaching the play-offs.
Saunders will be in the dug-out for next Tuesday’s match with York City, but could miss the game against Histon because of his international commitments with John Toshack’s Wales.
But I don’t see that being a major problem.
Dean won’t be away with Wales that much and I’m sure he will be looking to bring his own man to the Racecourse to work alongside Brian Carey.
