WREXHAM have already appointed a new chief executive, according to reports.

Former Burnley commercial manager Anthony Fairclough apparently accepted the position last Friday and could be unveiled this Wednesday when the club come out of administration.

A Dragons spokesman was unable to confirm or deny the reports last night although it is believed that new owners Neville Dickens and Geoff Moss have agreed on a new man after several interviews.

Fairclough has spent the last six years heading up Burnley's commercial department.

The club, meanwhile, have announced a host of fixture changes to their League Two campaign.

After requests from the police, both the home games with Chester and Shrewsbury on August 19 and September 3 respectively have been put back 24 hours to the Sunday. Both all-ticket derbies will be noon kick offs. Similarly, both away games have been re-scheduled.

The Dragons have also agreed a request to move the home clash with newcomers Hereford United to Sunday, September 24 with Rochdale in turn now willing to play Wrexham at Spotland on Wednesday, September 27.

The Carling Cup clash with Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday has moved to August 23.
