TENNIS: Winsford enjoyed two resounding wins in the South and Mid Cheshire League.

The A team (Dave Jones, Dave Littler, Mark Abbiss, Richard Clorley) won 7½-½ at Alsager A in the First Division.

Chris Mayoh, Brian Congleton, Andy Yearsley and Neil Garrett made up the B team who beat Nantwich B 6½-1½ at Knight’s Grange.
