OULTON Park launches two British championships at the weekend.
The F3 International Championship and the Avon Tyres GT Championship open at the Little Budworth circuit.
Andrew Meyrick, from Chester, is among the competitors and local support in the GT event is for Paul O’Neill, of Widnes.
There will be two one-hour GT races over the course of the weekend, during which each team must make a mandatory pit stop and swap drivers. There will also be two British F3 races on Easter Monday.
The action starts at 8.30am on Saturday, when tickets cost £12, and at 8.45am on Monday. Admission is then £20 but children aged 12 and under can get in free.
World Supersport Championship rider Craig Jones turned in one of the best performances at the weekend’s testing sessions at Valencia.
On his Parkalgar Honda he clocked the third fastest lap time of the day, 1 min 37.236 secs.
Jones, 22, from Greenbank, is sixth overall in the series.
