A NATIONAL council has expanded.
The Chester, North Wales and Wirral branch of the Development Council for Bangladeshis in UK launched on Sunday.
The event took place at the Red Fox, Tarporley, and was attended by Ellesmere Port mayor Tony Sherlock. Ellesmere Port and Neston Labour MP Andrew Miller was the main speaker.
The Development Council is working for the benefit of British Bangladeshis in the UK and the meeting focused on education and employment.
Regional general secretary Abdul Jilani said: “It was a good get- together. The meeting went well and Mr Miller spoke very well.”
