WREXHAM'S Dennis Lawrence has been called up by Trinidad & Tobago for their World Cup play-off games with Bahrain next month.

The big central defender will join up with the national squad on Monday November 7, 48 hours after the first round of the FA Cup to prepare for the first leg at home on November 12.

Trinidad then travel to Bahrain for the second leg, which is being played on Wednesday November 16 - the same evening that Wales are playing a friendly in Cyprus.

It means Lawrence will be unavailable for Wrexham's League Two trip to Oxford United, but he should be back in the UK in plenty of time for the home match against Peterborough United on November 19.
