THE lord mayor of Reutlingen, Ellesmere Port’s twin town in Germany, came to Ellesmere Port last week.

A guest of Ellesmere Port and Neston mayor Angela Claydon, Barbara Bosch headed a small delegation including Mayor for Culture, Robert Hahn, and civic secretary, Petra Bannasch during the stay from April 29-May 1.

Frau Bosch met business representatives and members of the Ellesmere Port Development Board at Vauxhall, headteachers and educationists at West Cheshire College, members and officers of Cheshire West and Chester Council, and also visited the National Waterways Museum.

The sea cadets hosted a formal welcome dinner at their training centre TS Forward.
