MOTORISTS are being warned of delays as the second phase of the Ruabon Bypass noise reduction scheme gets under way.

The works to provide a wearing course with low noise properties should be completed by July 17.

The North Wales Trunk Road Agency, on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government, has awarded a contract to Jones Bros Ruthin (Civil Engineering) Co Ltd to resurface Ruabon Bypass (Phase 2) at Ruabon Interchange (junction 1) and from Johnstown Interchange (junction 2) to Croesfoel Interchange (junction 3).

The works will require lane closures and contra flow traffic management systems.

Delays are likely and drivers are advised to allow extra time for journeys and to follow the signed diversionary routes.

A mandatory 40mph speed limit will be enforced for the duration of the works.
