TRIBUTES are being paid to a popular market trader who has died.

Andrew Evanson, 46, who ran the Shavington Nurseries stall at Nantwich Market for more than 10 years, died suddenly at his home in Market Drayton.

He had previously suffered with epilepsy and leukaemia but was said to be in good health before his death. He leaves a wife, Marie, and a young son, Matthew.

Fellow market trader Paula Fraser said: “Although it’s a cliche he truly was the life and soul of the market. You always knew that when you met Andy, no matter his or your circumstances at the time, you would feel a whole lot better for seeing him.”

Mr Evanson’s funeral takes place on Friday at 3.30pm at Telford Crematorium.
