A BIKER who died from severe injuries sustained in a crash on the A49 at Beeston last week has been named.

Jonathan Lock, 39, from Northwich died at the Countess of Chester Hospital on Tuesday, September 30, after being injured in the accident on the A49 between Cholmondeley Castle and the Cholmondeley Arms pub, at 7.45am on Sunday, September 28.

The Chronicle understands he was not married, but lived with his partner on the Kingsmead estate in Northwich. Mr Lock was riding a black Suzuki GSXR 1000 when he crashed into a hedge and sustained the fatal injuries.

PC Leah Booker from the Crewe Special Investigation Unit appealed for witnesses to contact police.said no witnesses have come forward yet, but police are appealing for anyone with information to call on 0845 4580000.
