WREXHAM chairman Mark Guterman has welcomed the decision to show live TV coverage of the Dragons' FA Cup first round tie at Third Division Yeovil Town.
The Huish Park clash will now kick off at 5.30pm on Saturday for broadcast on Sky Sports, in a move that should net both clubs about £50,000.
'Welcome though it is, the money is less important than the opportunity to show a national TV audience what a good footballing side we are,' said Guterman. 'I would have preferred a home draw, but I didn't feel we would need to fear any of the clubs going into the first round.'
Wrexham have failed to get beyond the first round of the competition in each of the past three seasons.
Two years ago, a national BBC audience saw them beaten 1-0 by Conference club Hereford United.
