A DANGEROUS fugitive wanted for breaking the leg of a security guard in a cash robbery in Ellesmere Port has appeared on Crimewatch.

Convicted burglar Nicholas Chan, 24, from Petworth Close, Speke, Liverpool was serving a three year sentence when he was released from prison on August 29, 2008.

Weeks later, on November 20, 2008 he was involved in a violent cash-in-transit robbery when two men assaulted a uniformed security guard in Ellesmere Port, breaking his leg and stealing a full cash box. He was recalled to prison for the offence but has not been seen since.

He appeared on the show’s ‘Most Wanted’ section on Monday night.

Detectives also want to speak to him about a burglary at a house in Wavertree, Liverpool where thugs forced their way through the back door and stole keys to a blue Ford Focus parked outside.

The public are warned not to approach Chan, who is believed to frequent the Bootle area of Liverpool and have links to Cheshire and Southern England.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nicholas Chan should contact Cheshire Constabulary on 0845 458 0000 (quote incident 170) or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
