A cow which got itself into a spot of bother in a Saighton pond had to be rescued by firefighters on Thursday afternoon (October 15).
A crew from Chester and the animal rescue unit from Bollington had to enlist the help of a 4x4 vehicle and a strap system to hoist the animal to safety.
The cow was able to stand on his own four hooves again once the straps were removed.
A vet attended to check it over as a precaution.
