THREE Winsford town councillors have called a public meeting to give residents the opportunity to discuss solutions to problems on a busy town centre road.

Lib Dem Cllrs Malcolm Gaskill, Charlie Parkinson and Janet Fitzmaurice have arranged the meeting at St Joseph’s parish centre on Wednesday, July 22 to talk about traffic issues on Woodford Lane.

“We’re keeping our promises to residents over this problem, and giving them the chance to come up with some solutions,” said Cllr Parkinson.

The councillors will then take their findings to Richard Flood, Area Highways Manager for Cheshire West and Chester Council, in a bid to resolve the long-running problem of congestion on the road.

The meeting will get under way at 6.30pm. For more information contact Cllr Parkinson on 01606 552761.
