DO you remember spending happy summer days at Rivacre Baths?

Did you see the Beatles play at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall?

Do you recall the Queen’s visit to the borough in 1957?

If you have any fond memories of life in Ellesmere Port and Neston in past decades, the borough council wants to hear from you.

From next April Ellesmere Port and Neston will become part of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

While the borough’s proud past will continue to shape the area’s future, the merger with Chester City, Vale Royal and the county council represents a momentous change to local government in our area.

To mark this event, the borough council is putting together a farewell publication for residents, which will celebrate the people, places and events that have created such a rich heritage and so many fond memories.

Whether your memory stretches back to the war years or just as far as 1974 when local government was last reorganised in Ellesmere Port and Neston, the council wants to hear from you.

Lose yourself in nostalgia and share your happy, touching or even humorous memories by e-mailing communications@epnbc.gov.uk or phoning Denise, Vicky or Patrick on 0151 356 6627 by Friday, September 19.

You can also send your old photos to the Communications Unit, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port Cheshire, CH65 0BE.
