ANACONDA Investments have been told to knock down a housing block in Weaverham that does not comply with their planning permission.

A planning inspectorate hearing decided an enforcement notice be upheld against Anaconda for two dwellings at the junction of Northwich Road and Wallerscote Road.

The requirements are:

Demolish Block A (two dwellings) in its entirety.

Restore the land to its condition before the breach took place.

The period for compliance is one calendar month.

Speaking on behalf of Vale Royal Borough Council, lead councillor for community safeguards John Turnbull said: “Strict guidelines are set down when planning permission is granted – and they are there for a reason.

“Let this be a warning to anyone who is considering not complying with their planning permission – and if anyone is in doubt of what they can and can’t do once they have permission, I would urge them to contact the Council to make absolutely sure they are not in breach of the regulations.”
