CHESHIRE West and Chester Council continued its campaign against dog fouling by holding another roadshow.

The Anti-Dog Fouling Roadshow, held outside the rangers’ office at Rivacre, Ellesmere Port, aimed to raise awareness about public health risks associated with dog faeces which contains harmful bacteria that could cause blindness, especially in young children.

Streetscene officers were on hand to give out advice and issue free dog waste bags.

Netherpool councillor Diane Roberts said: “This borough-wide campaign against dog fouling is proving successful and responsible dog owners should always ‘bag it and bin’ the waste and place it into the nearest general litter bin.”
