MR Terry Phillips, landlord of The Wheatsheaf Inn on High Street, Weaverham, has asked us to point out that a brawl reported in this week’s Chronicle was not at his pub.
Mr Phillips, who called police after seeing a fight break out in the street, said none of those involved had been drinking at The Wheatsheaf, and that the fracas took place between the pub and a neighbouring establishment.
