A NEW initiative to help stamp out anti-social behaviour has been launched in Denbighshire.

Every household in the county is to receive a glossy booklet urging people to play a part in the campaign.

Produced by the county's community safety partnership it contains details of local Community Beat Managers, the steps which police and other agencies can take to tackle problems and advice on reducing the risk of crime.

Supt Barry Jones said anti-social behaviour was the single biggest issue affecting everyone be it by "neighbours from hell" or gangs of youths abusing passers-by.

He added: "The true heroes and heroines within society are you, the public, working in conjunction with the police and other agencies."
