A FOOD store in Whitby is to unveil its brand new look following the completion of a £200,000 revamp.

The Co-operative in Woodland Road will re-open its doors tomorrow (Thursday) to reveal contemporary decor, a more shopperfriendly layout and automatic doors.

The emphasis will be on fresh and chilled foods with the introduction of a range of fresh meat and a selection of in-store baked breads and pastries.

All beers and white wines will be chilled and services, including the external cash machine, photocopying service, lottery, and PayPoint, are being retained.

Two new jobs have been created as a result of the revamp.

Manager Alison Findlow said: “I am confident our shoppers will be delighted with our improved store.”
