WELSH PREMIER clubs are set to become more media-savvy after learning the tricks of the trade from Ceri Stennett, matchday Press officer for the FAW.

As part of new Uefa licensing criteria, all clubs must appoint a media officer to deal with the Press, radio, television and the internet.

Club officials were invited this week to take part in two workshops – one in North Wales and one in the south – during which they were addressed by Stennett on how to get the best coverage for their club.

Fans can now expect to see club websites include more up-to-date information, as well as better matchday programmes.
