WREXHAM FC and their main sponsors Just Go Travel have helped raise more than £500 for the NSPCC.

The donation of a signed Wrexham shirt helped raise the money for NSPCC Cymru/Wales at this season's match against Bristol City at the Racecourse.

Funds raised from the sale of the shirt will go towards supporting the NSPCC's services for children and young people.

The society has 17 services in Wales, including the Wrexham Schools' Team which encourages the development of independent counselling and peer support programmes for children and young people in schools.

A spokesman for the North East branch of NSPCC Cymru/Wales said they are thankful for the support they got from Wrexham FC, Don Bircham of Just Go Travel and all the NSPCC volunteers for braving the freezing weather on the day to collect the cash.
