A CLUB which gives elderly people the chance to dance to a live band and socialise has enjoyed a fancy dress party.
Prizes were handed out to members with the best costumes during the group’s weekly get-together at the Labour Club in Flatt Lane, Ellesmere Port.
Organiser James Porter is keen to attract more people to the club which meets on Mondays between 2-5pm
He said: “I’m 73 but this keeps me young. It’s really enjoyable and it would be nice to see more pensioners.
“It helps to get elderly people out of the house and they can come and enjoy having a dance or chat. I hope people will come down and see for themselves how enjoyable it is.”
