WIRRAL-BASED children’s hospice Claire House has opened its 21st store across the region.

The Heswall branch was opened by players, coaches and training staff from Tranmere Rovers Football Club on Thursday.

Head of retail Simon Dodd said: “We now have some stylish new signage for the store which hopefully will be rolled out across the other stores.

“We hope it will bring a more vibrant and vivacious look to the stores and will draw people’s attention to the charity shops. The response for donated clothes and stock has been fantastic and some of it is even brand new!

“We are so grateful to our supporters for continuing to donate and purchase stock from our stores and are made up we can share this store opening with them.”

Mr Dodd added: “Our shops make a great deal for Claire House and help significantly to reach our £2.5m annual target. We have a large range of high-quality goods and it is only with the support of the public that we continue to expand our retail department.

“This is now the second Claire House shop in Heswall and proves that our supporters really can help by donating and purchasing stock at local charity shops.”

The new store is at 155, Telegraph Road, Heswall.

Claire House continues to appeal for stock for the Heswall shop as well as all other stores.
