HISTORIC Great Budworth Church provided the perfect sanctuary when rain forced organisers to abandon plans for an open air summer fair.
Organisers calmly transferred everything indoors and the event went on to raise £2,500 for the church kitty.
Helper Sue Wallworth said: “We had to cancel a few events planned for outdoors but we are delighted to have raised so much.”
