CHORAL composer John Rutter is returning to Wrexham next month to lead a choral workshop organised by the Royal School of Church Music.

Dr Rutter has written many choral works and now spends much of his time in the USA.

The event is expected to attract singers from all over the area to the event being held at the William Aston Hall at Glyndwr University.

Mark Thompson, the area secretary for the RSCM, says “We are very fortunate to have attracted such a big name in the choral world and the day should interest singers of all abilities.”

The workshop is the fourth event to be organised by the RSCM in North East Wales since 2005.

“The day promises to be extremely good and will include music of all types including much of Dr Rutter’s own work,” said Mr Thompson.

Some tickets for the event on February 7 are still available from Jacqui Blore on 01978 355808.
