A CHRISTMAS extravaganza of festive bargains will open at a charity shop next week.

Staff at the Salvation Army Trading Company’s Ellesmere Port charity shop on Marina Drive have been saving gifts from donations throughout the year.

From 9am on Thursday, November 22, the team is inviting shoppers to be among the first to snap up some bargains.

It will be the first chance for customers to see the shop decorated for yuletide as the staff and volunteers will be staying behind after the doors shut on Wednesday evening to transform the store.

There will be mince pies on offer as a treat for shoppers.

Manager Debbie Morris said: “We’re going to create a glitzy party theme as we’ve got some fantastic Christmas party outfits for women and men, as well as stocking fillers, lovely grown-up gifts such as jewellery and gift sets and decorations – all at reasonable prices, as we know how expensive Christmas can be.”
