A team of fundraisers for the Elsie Ever After Trust ran this year’s Chester Half Marathon.

They were all dressed in blue T-shirts and the team included a vicar who had to run quick enough to make it in time to preach his normal Sunday service, as well as a lady who is four-and-a-half months pregnant.

Runners included: Jennifer Robinson, Kate Higgins, Moira Reid and her daughter Kirsty, Louise Smith, Amy Pearce and her boyfriend, Laura Edwards, Michelle Donald, Graham Shaw, Duncan Trevan, and Cydney and Jon Phillips.

Florence Lyons, also ran the fun run in memory of her sister Elsie.

Helen Lyons, Elsie’s mum said: “We are so grateful for the money they have raised to help us purchase bereavement packs for children and their families.”
