CHESTER FC is launching a ‘Community Contact Centre’ and is calling on volunteers to be a part of it.
The Blues are looking for people who can spare a few hours a week and are comfortable talking on the telephone to promote the club’s activities as well as using a computer to log information.
Training will be provided at the new Community Contact Centre, which will overlook the Exacta Stadium pitch.
The club will be holding two open afternoons in the Blues Bar on Friday, July 6 from 1-3pm and on Monday, July 9 from 6-8pm to provide more information.
The project is being led by Blues fan and volunteer Emma-Louise Porter from Ellesmere Port.
She said: “The work being carried out by Neil Young and his management team has shown Chester FC really is back.
“We would like to promote the club in order to continue this good work and to allow the business to grow off the pitch as well as on it.
“We are looking to set up a team of volunteers who would be happy to talk to different groups of people about what we are doing at Chester FC.
“It will allow volunteers to transfer some of the passion they have for the club across to other people while building the business at the same time.
“Many people feel that they want to help but maybe do not have a lot of time in the day or even know how they can help.
“This opportunity will allow us as fans to talk to people about something most of us spend time talking about anyway throughout our day!”
Anyone interested in getting involved – including organisations, schools and colleges – should email Emma-Louise Porter at email@example.com or call 07590 467947.
