ELLESMERE Port gig fans helped rock The Guildhall in Chester at a special concert.

Topping the bill were Room Service, a five piece pop/rock band, with influences across many genres.

The band formed officially during March when they decided to go for a female lead singer with the recruitment of Chester’s Emily Stuttard.

The rest of the band is made up of Mike Bladen from Little Sutton on guitar and vocals, Antony Hary from farnborough on guitar, Tom Woodward from Farnborough on bass and Chester’s Tim Peers on drums.

The show at The Guildhall sold out within three weeks of tickets going on sale which enabled the bands to play their music to just over 200 people, four of whom had travelled all the way from France after hearing Room Service songs on Myspace.

Supporting them on the night were Dean Snell from Ellesmere Port and Chester band Surplus (Chester).

Over the next few months Room Service will be working hard to produce an EP of songs which are catchy and melodic.

The band will also be gigging across the UK to further build on their growing reputation including a date at Camden Barfly on October 2.
