YOUNG people in Cheshire have the opportunity to secure funding for projects they want to run in the next 12 months.

The Youth Opportunities Fund and the Youth Capital Fund application forms are available from Connexions Centres and HUBs across Cheshire. The funds are both available to improve things to do and places to go in line with what young people want in their neighbourhoods.

Any one individual or group across Cheshire aged between 13 and 19 can apply for funding for a specific project. There is no maximum or minimum amount that has to be applied for and each application is assessed individually.

Gill Potts, youth work strategy and development manager at Connexions, said: “These funding opportunities really give young people in Cheshire the chance to have a voice on what it is they would like to do in their leisure time and to gain skills in the decision making process. They have a real chance to make a difference and to achieve something special for themselves and other young people across Cheshire.”
