THE winners of the 10th annual Built in Quality Awards were announced this week.
The ceremony, held at Mere Golf & Country Club near Knutsford, honoured building projects with a high standard of workmanship from architects, designers and contractors.
There were seven major category awards and one supreme trophy which were presented by BBC Manchester’s Alan Beswick.
Over 160 invited guests attended the event with dignitaries, builders, contractors, architects and Cheshire West’s & Chester’s director of environment, Steve Kent.
Cheshire West & Chester Council was successful in two of the categories, with RCL Construction Ltd winning the Best Commercial Project category for the 1539 restaurant and trainers pavillion at Chester Racecourse, and Morgan Ashurst for the Best Public/Community Project category for the Lifestyle Centre in Winsford.
They each received hand produced Dragoncraft crystal trophies.
The Supreme Winner was MH Stainton for Oak Tree House, Alderley Edge.
Granada TV’s Trevor Green officiated a raffle which raised £1,285 which is to be donated to Bowel Cancer UK.
