CHESHIRE West and Chester Council is holding an event on benefits and other financial help available to residents.

As part of the council’s Everybody Benefits campaign to encourage more people to take up benefits to improve the quality of life for them and their families, welfare benefit advisors will be at the Children’s Centre in Frodsham on Wednesday, July 15.

The event will offer advice on welfare benefits and financial help from other support agencies. Advisors can help complete forms, advise on what help is available and arrange home visits or call backs for anyone who prefers to discuss matters privately.

There will be information on housing and council tax benefit, maternity grants, tax credits, child care costs, managing debt, mortgage or rent arrears, free school meals, help with school transport and uniforms, help with the costs of NHS prescriptions, dental treatment and eyesight tests.
