SAVINGS are being sought by Cheshire West and Chester Council in its arrangements for handling its capital projects.
Savings of £150,000 are proposed during the 2012/13 financial year, involving the loss of three full-time-equivalent staff.
Councillors have been told projects are at present managed and delivered by teams across the council. A proposal has been drawn up to create a single capital programme team which would be more effective and would secure efficiencies in running costs.
Apart from the staffing reductions, the council believes it could also reduce the use of consultants.
