CAR thieves who crashed a stolen vehicle into a pumping station in Winsford and fled on foot are wanted by police.
Search dogs were used to comb the area for evidence in the early hours of yesterday morning, Wednesday, but the two men left no trace.
Cheshire police spokeswoman Shelley Williams said: “At 5.20am on April 15 we attended a report of a car crashing into a pumping station on Woodford Lane West, Winsford.
“The car, a red Ford Fiesta, had been stolen from an address in Weaver Street. A witness saw two males running from the scene.
“Police patrols, including a dog patrol, made a thorough search of the area but did not locate the offenders. An investigation to trace those responsible is ongoing, which includes forensic examination of the car.”
